about
the ARTIST
Justin was raised on the island of Kaua‘i, where the ocean was both playground and teacher. A lifelong lover of the sea, his connection to the shoreline runs deeper than memory—a place of clarity, quiet, and creative inspiration.
Trained as a portrait photographer, Justin’s foundation is in capturing presence, subtlety, and the art of seeing. But his creative drive has always reached beyond genre—through photography, music, and the pursuit of making something that lasts.
In an era where images pass quickly through screens and are often forgotten, his work resists that tide. Each piece invites a slower encounter. His highest hopes is that viewers would be drawn in by beauty, but linger in discovery—stepping close to explore intricate natural forms, then stepping back to see them transformed by light and scale.
This isn’t photography for scrolling. It’s meant to be felt, examined, and lived with.
Art that doesn’t just ask to be seen, but invites you to stay.
A note from Justin - I hold the work of Karl Blossfeldt and Georgia O’Keeffe in the highest regard. Their mastery of form, scale, and stillness continues to guide my approach. While I make no claim to their legacy, their influence is present in my practice: Blossfeldt’s disciplined observation of natural structures and O’Keeffe’s transformative intimacy with organic shapes both echo in the way I engage each shell—as an artifact of beauty, worthy of deep attention.
